Erdogan Claims Full Control Over Security Process and Announces US Visit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan chaired a meeting of the Justice and Development Party's Central Executive Committee (MYK). The main topics of the meeting included the implementation of the country's security initiative, the progress of the economic program, and the president's upcoming international visits.

Evaluating current results in counter-terrorism, Erdogan told party leadership that the situation is under the complete control of the authorities. He emphasized that the country's leadership holds full initiative and will never lose its grip. Meeting participants reviewed previously taken steps and outlined further actions.

As part of foreign policy discussions, the meeting detailed the Turkish leader's upcoming visit to the United States, scheduled for the weekend. Erdogan will travel to the US to participate in the UN General Assembly Summit. According to him, he will deliver a speech on the first day of the General Assembly and hold a series of bilateral meetings.

In addition, party leadership reviewed the response to the Medium-Term Development Program announced last week. Participants closely examined the plan's proposed steps to reduce inflation, employment figures, export volumes, and gross domestic product dynamics.

During the discussion on the economic situation, Erdogan highlighted the severe pressure exerted by geopolitical tensions. The president noted that military actions north of Turkey and the conflict involving Iran in the Persian Gulf region complicate the situation for the economy, citizens, and business owners. The head of state assured that the government is doing everything possible and will put all available experience into practice to overcome these difficulties.
