Yerevan's Zvartnots airport recorded delays and cancellations of flights to Moscow amid temporary restrictions introduced at Russian capital airports. This was reported on 11 October 2026.
According to the airport, one flight from Moscow is delayed and another has been cancelled. A similar situation arose with departures from Yerevan to the Russian capital: one flight delayed, another cancelled.
Restrictions on the reception and departure of aircraft are in effect at all Moscow airports. As Rosaviatsia reported, the measures were taken to ensure flight safety.
Because of the restrictions, more than 25 aircraft heading to Moscow airports were diverted to alternate airfields in other cities.
In particular, 11 flights bound for Sheremetyevo were sent to Nizhny Novgorod, St Petersburg, Kazan, Samara and Yaroslavl. Another nine flights heading to Vnukovo also had their routes changed. Six aircraft bound for Domodedovo made intermediate landings in Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and St Petersburg.
