Disabling artificial intelligence features helps free up smartphone memory
Experts explain how to deactivate AI features on iOS and Android to optimize free space on your device.

Modern smartphones are increasingly equipped with pre-installed services based on artificial intelligence. Although AI tools themselves require a small amount of memory, their offline operation involves downloading additional scripts to the device and accumulating cache, which together can take up tens of gigabytes.
To free up storage space, experts recommend disabling neural network features that work without an internet connection. On iOS devices, you need to go to the "Privacy & Security" section, select "Apple Intelligence," and toggle the switch to the inactive position.
On smartphones running the Android operating system, the deactivation procedure is carried out through application settings. The user needs to find the AICore service in the list of installed programs and use the "Disable" button.
Previously, experts also noted the importance of maintaining free space on solid-state drives (SSDs). For efficient device operation, it is recommended to leave at least 5% of free space, although specialists advise maintaining this figure at the 15–20% level.
