Google expands AI capabilities in Android: new features for Gemini and the interface
Google is rolling out a series of updates to Android aimed at deep integration of the Gemini AI, messenger personalization, and enhanced user comfort.

Google has introduced a number of new features for the Android operating system, expanding the ways users interact with the Gemini artificial intelligence. One of the key innovations is the development of the Find Hub feature: users can now create notes with attached photos, and the AI will provide reminders about the saved data at the right moment.
A visual mode for Gemini Live is being integrated into the system. With its help, the neural network will be able to analyze images from the smartphone camera in real time, allowing the user to discuss surrounding objects and events with the AI.
Changes have also been made to the standard Google Messages app. Integration with the Google Keep service has been added, allowing users to work with notes directly within their conversations. Additionally, the messenger has received new themes to personalize the look of chats.
To improve comfort while traveling, the Motion Assist feature has been introduced. It is designed for people who suffer from motion sickness: special visual cues are displayed on the smartphone screen to help reduce discomfort.
The rollout of these new features began in August on devices running Android 17. Final availability depends on the smartphone model and the update deployment pace of specific manufacturers.
