Customs security officers seized 20 kg 260 g of narcotic tablets at Istanbul Airport. The suspected passengers had arrived from Bangkok.

Customs security officers at Istanbul Airport seized 20 kg 260 g of narcotic tablets, according to a written statement from Turkey's Ministry of Trade.
According to the ministry, the operation was conducted as part of efforts to combat smuggling and risk-analysis work. During the operation, two passengers arriving in Istanbul from Bangkok were identified.
The passengers' hand luggage was sent for X-ray screening. Drug detection dogs named Csonti and Queen alerted officers to suspicious areas identified during the inspection, after which the suitcases were examined in detail.
Samples were taken from the pink tablets found. Analysis showed that they were narcotic tablets. In total, officers seized 20 kg 260 g of such tablets.
The investigation into the incident is continuing under the supervision of the Gaziosmanpaşa Prosecutor's Office.
