Azerbaijani athletes won gold and bronze at the World Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships in Pesaro and returned to Baku.

Azerbaijani athletes who won gold and bronze medals at the World Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships in Pesaro, Italy, held on September 24–27, returned home on September 29.
The athletes were welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by federation representatives, their family members and media representatives. This was reported by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.
Azerbaijan's women's group, consisting of Anahita Bashiri, Zahra Rashidova and Nazrin Zeyniyeva, competed in the senior age category and won the world championship in the balance exercise. This was the first case in the history of acrobatic gymnastics when a women's group from Azerbaijan won this title.
In the qualification, the athletes took first place with a result of 28.330. In the final they scored 28.580 points and finished ahead of all rivals.
The men's pair of Murad Rafiyev and Daniel Abbasov also reached the podium in the balance exercise. After third place in the qualification with a result of 28.550, the athletes improved their result in the final to 28.950 and won the bronze medal.
