The Belgian Football Association said that the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) will change its disciplinary rules. This decision was taken amid the controversy caused by the suspension of the automatic disqualification of the attacking Balogun.

According to the association, the reason for the revision of the regulations was precisely the Balogun case. As noted, the changes will affect Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

Earlier, FIFA decided to suspend the automatic suspension of the forward Balogun, which caused disputes. The Belgian federation was the first to report plans by the international organisation to adjust the disciplinary norms.
