Following orders and decrees signed by President Ilham Aliyev, a new health minister has been appointed, and the subordination of TEBIB has been changed.

F4media.az reports that Teymur Yusif oglu Musayev has been released from the post of Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and appointed Deputy Prime Minister. President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant orders on October 19.

In another order, Anar Maharram oglu Bayramov has been appointed Azerbaijan's new Minister of Health. Before this appointment, he headed the Medical and Pharmaceutical Departments Management Union (TEBIB).

A separate decree signed by the head of state has placed TEBIB under the Ministry of Health. According to the document, the institution's rights and obligations, as well as its activities under the property ministry, will be transferred to TEBIB.

According to the decree, the current management of TEBIB will be carried out by a Management Board consisting of a chairman, who is appointed and dismissed by the ministry, and his four deputies. The institution's activities will continue until its state registration is completed, while the powers of the Supervisory Board will be exercised by a commission created by the Ministry of Health.

Undoubtedly, these changes will be the focus of public attention. This is because the topic is directly linked to the daily lives, health and access to medical services of every citizen. The main purpose of restructuring the administration should be to improve the quality of health services, increase citizen satisfaction and resolve existing problems more operatively.

Expectations are high. We hope these changes will not be limited to structural and personnel updates, but will also produce positive results in the quality of services at medical institutions, in relations between doctors and patients, and in public trust in medical services. Most important is that citizens feel the real benefit of the reforms in their daily lives, because the success of any change in the health system is ultimately measured by the contribution it makes to people's health and satisfaction.
