Two former employees of a Burger King restaurant in Vladivostok, whose videos led to the closure of two branches in the city, resigned before those clips were published. One of them is a minor. Territorial manager Alexey Shavsha reported this.
According to him, the scandalous video was recorded in early September — in the middle of the month — and its authors resigned before they posted the footage.
"The scandalous video they recorded was made in early September — in the middle of the month. They themselves resigned before publication. And it was only after they resigned that they posted it. That is, in fact, they are no longer with the company," Shavsha said.
According to him, one of the young men was 19 years old, and the second — 16 — had been working part-time during the summer-autumn period.
Earlier, videos from the kitchen of the Burger King restaurant on Semenovskaya Street in central Vladivostok were published on social media. In the footage, one employee takes a contraceptives product lying next to the burgers from the table and demonstrates it, while in another, a worker kicks a soccer ball in the kitchen.
Burger King Russia said that after these videos, the operation of two franchise restaurants in Vladivostok was suspended and further cooperation was terminated.
The Rospotrebnadzor office said that the restaurant had been sent a request to provide explanations regarding the stated facts.
