Electronic consent service for minor passport issuance launched on mygov platform
It is no longer necessary for both parents to be physically present at a notary office to provide notarized consent for a child's passport issuance.

The Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan has announced the integration of the "Application for issuance of a passport to a minor" service into the mygov government platform. The new service allows parents, adoptive parents, or guardians to electronically process the notarized consent required for individuals under 18 to obtain a general passport.
This feature is designed to simplify the procedure in cases where one parent is unable to be physically present during the document submission process. To use the service, users must log in to the mygov portal, navigate to the "Services" (Xidmətlər) section, and select the "Family" (Ailə) category.
The system automatically displays information about the user's children available in state registries. If information is missing from the database, the citizen can enter the child's details manually. After reviewing the application and filling in the required fields, the process moves to the verification stage.
Data confirmation is carried out by a notary via video verification. Once payment is made, the electronic consent process is considered complete. Users can track the status of their application in the "History" (Tarixçə) section within the service.
