Hotel spending in the Russian Far East reaches 563 million rubles since the start of 2026
Tourists are booking hotels in the Far East more frequently, with the number of transactions increasing by 3%. Kamchatka Krai has become the leader in trip duration.

Since the beginning of 2026, Russian tourists have spent 563 million rubles on hotel accommodations in the Far Eastern Federal District. According to research data, the number of hotel booking transactions grew by 3%, reaching 117,000 operations. The average accommodation bill was 11,200 rubles.
The cost of air travel to the Far East regions increased by 3%, averaging 19,100 rubles for a one-way ticket. Meanwhile, the average price per night in regional hotels remained at last year's level of 7,300 rubles. Some subjects saw a decrease in prices: on Sakhalin, the cost per night dropped by 13.6% to 7,700 rubles, and in Primorsky Krai, it fell by 4.1% to 7,200 rubles.
Primorsky Krai maintains its status as the most popular destination, accounting for 43.7% of all bookings. Khabarovsk Krai takes second place with a 17.7% share, followed by the Sakhalin Region (9.4%). The Amur Region showed the most significant growth in booking share (7.6%). The shares of other regions were distributed as follows: Buryatia — 7.4%, Kamchatka — 5.5%, Zabaykalsky Krai — 4%, and Yakutia — 2.6%.
Kamchatka Krai has become the leader in the duration of tourist stays. On average across the Far East, the hotel booking period increased by nearly two days compared to last year, reaching 4.4 days.
It is worth noting that the overall trend of domestic tourism in Russia shows a decline. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, the number of domestic tourist trips in the first eight months of 2026 totaled 58 million, which is 6% less than in the same period last year.
