Storm warning issued in Azerbaijan due to strong winds
Forecasters are warning of dangerous weather conditions: yellow and orange alert levels have been issued for various districts depending on wind intensity.

The National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a warning regarding deteriorating weather conditions across Azerbaijan. From August 27 to 30, strong winds are expected in Baku, on the Absheron Peninsula, and in a number of the republic's regions.
An orange alert level has been declared for Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, as well as the Goranboy and Naftalan districts, and the cities of Julfa and Ordubad. In these locations, north-westerly winds are forecast to reach speeds of 20.8 to 28.4 m/s.
A yellow alert level is in effect for several other regions of the country, where westerly winds are expected to reach speeds of 13.9–20.7 m/s.
This warning applies to Nakhchivan, Ganja, Mingachevir, as well as the Goygol, Samukh, Agstafa, Gazakh, Dashkasan, Tovuz, Gadabay, Gusar, Shamkir, Khizi, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan, Gobustan, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Neftchala, Aghdam, Yevlakh, Tartar, Barda, Bilasuvar, Salyan, Jalilabad, Masally, Yardimli, Lerik, Kalbajar, Lachin, Fuzuli, Beylagan, Imishli, Saatly, Sabirabad, and Jabrayil districts.
