Study: Students most often use voice assistants to study humanities
An analysis of data from August 2025 to July 2026 revealed the primary educational interests of students using the 'Alice' voice assistant.

Between August 2025 and July 2026, a study was conducted on educational queries sent by students through smart speakers equipped with the 'Alice' voice assistant. An analysis of anonymized data showed that geography, literature, and linguistics were the most popular subjects among students.
The study took into account queries made in both Russian and Uzbek. It was found that students use the device to clarify specific facts, such as the longest river in the world, as well as to define terms like 'orthogram' or 'cinquain'.
In addition to searching for reference information, students turn to the assistant to understand the causes of various phenomena. An example cited is the question of why Mars is red. Furthermore, students request practical advice, such as techniques for memorizing poems quickly.
The authors of the study note that as students get older, the complexity of their questions naturally increases. The technology allows children to engage in a dialogue with the assistant, clarify details, and ask follow-up questions until the topic is fully understood.
