School supplies presented to children in need of special care in Nakhchivan

On the eve of September 15, Knowledge Day, a meeting was held with children requiring special care in Nakhchivan.
F4media.az reports that the event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, and the Council of Trade Unions.
The meeting, held at the Nakhchivan State Technical College under Nakhchivan State University, was attended by children who have lost their parents and are deprived of parental care, children from single-parent families, children with disabilities, children of martyrs and veterans, as well as children from low-income and large families.
The event began with the playing of the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence to honor the memory of the martyrs and National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Chairperson of the State Committee Ramila Seyidova congratulated the children on Knowledge Day. She stated that the state is implementing measures to protect children's rights, strengthen their social protection, expand access to education, and ensure their comprehensive development.
Gazanfar Abdullayev, Chairman of the Council of Trade Unions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, noted that social support for children is one of the priority directions in the organization's activities.
It was reported that over the past period, school uniforms, educational supplies, and various gifts were presented to 2,119 children of martyrs and veterans, children in need of social care, and 214 students studying at a boarding school. Additionally, recreation and summer camps were organized for 613 children requiring special care at the Aghbulag Recreation Center.
This time, school uniforms were presented to 50 children.
Ali Valiyev, Deputy Minister of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, stated that providing children with quality and accessible education remains a priority. He wished the pupils and students success in the new academic year.
At the end of the meeting, school uniforms, bags, shoes, and other gifts were presented to the children.
Similar meetings were also held in other districts of Nakhchivan. In total, school uniforms, bags, and shoes were presented to 115 children from special categories.
