National Action Plan for competition development and monopoly prevention approved

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the "National Action Plan for the Development of Competition and Prevention of Monopolistic Activity for 2027–2029". The document outlines the key tasks of state regulation to maintain a fair competitive environment.

Coordination and annual reporting

According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to resolve all financial and organizational issues arising from the adopted document.

The coordination of the implementation of the measures envisaged by the National Action Plan has been entrusted to the State Agency for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control under the President of Azerbaijan. The agency is required to submit an annual report on the progress of the plan's implementation to the head of state.

Monitoring and performance evaluation

The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication will conduct a performance evaluation and independent monitoring of the plan's execution. The work will be carried out based on an order from the State Agency for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control.
