Turkey has appealed to Iran and the United States to stop mutual military attacks in the Persian Gulf region. Ankara stressed that ongoing strikes inflict direct damage on international efforts to establish peace and stability.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that unhindered passage of vessels must be ensured in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the head of the Turkish diplomatic service, the parties should return to the status quo that existed in the region before the escalation of the conflict began.
