Iran and Azerbaijan Strengthen Cooperation in Law Enforcement and Security
Tehran is preparing for a visit to Azerbaijan by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. Issues of bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and security were discussed in Tehran on October 5.

Iran and Azerbaijan noted the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of law enforcement and security ahead of a visit to Azerbaijan by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. This was reported by the Iranian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the Iranian Interior Ministry, on October 5 Momeni met in Tehran with Iran's ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Damirchilou.
During the meeting, the ambassador briefed the interior minister on the latest developments in relations between Azerbaijan and Iran across various areas.
The two sides stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of law enforcement and security and exchanged views on regional issues ahead of Momeni's planned visit to Azerbaijan.
These discussions take place against the backdrop of intensified high-level contacts between Baku and Tehran.
Last week, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev visited Iran and held a series of meetings with senior Iranian officials.
During the visit, the two sides discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda, including political and economic cooperation, as well as regional topics.
Mustafayev held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei and other senior officials.
The latest contacts are part of Azerbaijan's and Iran's ongoing efforts to expand bilateral interaction and address issues of mutual interest through high-level dialogue.
