Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov proposed creating a unified e-commerce platform for the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan. He announced this at the 8th Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia, held in Avaza (Turkmenistan) on 8 October 2026.
According to Japarov, supporting and developing e-commerce is one of the most dynamically growing areas of the global economy.
Our citizens actively use international e-commerce platforms to buy goods from third countries. In this connection, we propose creating a unified e-commerce platform for Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
The initiative came amid growing interest among residents of the region in foreign online marketplaces through which they buy goods from other countries. The proposal to create a shared platform concerns all participants in the Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
