With the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, implementation has begun on the “Green Life Ambassadors: Ilisu-Sarıbaş Ecological Training and Camp Programme” project within the framework of the “Development, Innovation and Social Initiatives for Youth Organisations and Young People” grant competition.

The “Green Life Ambassadors: Ilisu-Sarıbaş Ecological Training and Camp Programme” project has been launched in Qax district with the aim of raising young people’s environmental awareness, promoting a responsible attitude towards nature, and supporting their active participation in protecting local areas. The project, covering the months of October to December 2026, is being implemented in the villages of Ilisu and Sarıbaş. Within the project, it is planned to raise young people’s awareness of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, the effects of climate change, and the application of environmental habits in everyday life. Interactive training sessions, group discussions, environmental games and practical activities will be organised as part of the programme. Participants will develop their knowledge and skills on topics such as reducing and sorting waste, saving water and energy, reuse, and the role of young people in protecting nature.

One of the key directions of the project is the holding of an ecological march and a practical action aimed at protecting the environment in the village of Sarıbaş. Through these activities, the project aims to strengthen participants’ abilities to observe nature, identify environmental problems in the area, take part in collecting and sorting waste, and work as a team. The “Green Life Ambassadors” project aims not only to inform young people about environmental issues but also to turn them into active participants who contribute to positive change in the areas where they live. Participants are expected to promote environmentally responsible behaviour in their daily lives and involve people around them in these initiatives.

The project is being implemented under the leadership of Salam Ibrahimov and will continue until 1 December 2026.
