Ilham Aliyev receives new ambassadors of Malaysia and Austria, invited to visit Malaysia
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on October 5 received newly appointed Ambassador of Malaysia Aznifah Isnarini Binti Abdul Ghani, who presented her credentials. The ambassador conveyed an invitation to the head of state to visit Malaysia.

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on October 5 received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Azerbaijan, Aznifah Isnarini Binti Abdul Ghani. The diplomat presented her credentials to the head of state, after which a conversation took place.
Noting the friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries, the head of state stressed the importance of elevating economic cooperation to the level of political ties, expanding interaction in energy, investment, tourism and other areas, as well as continuing an active political dialogue. In this context, Aliyev pointed to the role of mutual visits by delegations at various levels.
The President of Azerbaijan wished the ambassador success in her diplomatic mission.
The ambassador conveyed greetings from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, as well as their invitations to the head of state to visit Malaysia.
Ilham Aliyev thanked them for the greetings and asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to the King and Prime Minister of Malaysia. Thanking for the invitation, the head of state noted that he would be pleased to accept it. In turn, Aliyev invited the King and Prime Minister of Malaysia to visit Azerbaijan.
The ambassador stressed that relations between the two countries have remained at a very high level for many years, and stated that she will work diligently to further strengthen cooperation.
Tourism, air links and education
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for bilateral ties and stressed the importance of mutual support within the framework of international organizations.
Cooperation in the field of tourism was discussed, including the mutual abolition of visa requirements to promote tourism and the establishment of direct air links between Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
As for educational ties, the sides noted that Azerbaijani students study in Malaysia, while Malaysian students receive education in Azerbaijan under scholarship programs provided by the Azerbaijani government.
On the same day, Ilham Aliyev also received the newly appointed ambassador of Austria to Azerbaijan.
