Ankara raids entertainment venues: 68 people detained
During simultaneous inspections at 19 addresses in Ankara's Polatlı district, 68 suspects were detained and administrative measures were applied to 94 women.

In Ankara's Polatlı district, 68 suspects were detained during inspections of public entertainment venues serving alcohol. The Polatlı prosecutor's office reported the operation.
The operation began after complaints about venues in the Gülveren neighbourhood. The complaints mentioned overcharging customers, threats and forcing those who disputed their bills to sign IOUs, as well as drug trafficking and forcing women working at the venues into prostitution.
As part of the investigation, officers from the Anti-Looting Bureau of the Public Order Department of the Ankara Police Department carried out simultaneous inspections at 19 addresses.
The operations resulted in the detention of 68 suspects, while administrative procedures were applied to 94 women.
It was noted that after the procedural steps at the police station are completed, those detained will be brought before a court.
