Tbilisi has begun celebrating its city festival, Tbilisoba 2026. In the main event areas in the city centre, some streets have been closed, according to a report on October 3.
Traffic is partially restricted on Freedom Square and on the section from Vakhtang Gorgasali Street to Freedom Square.
Until the morning of October 6, traffic will be fully restricted on Freedom Square, the Metekhi ascent, the Metekhi bridge, the Wine ascent and at the tunnel exit at this location.
In addition, until 23:30 on October 8, traffic will be fully restricted in front of the Presidential Palace, on Giorgi Atoneli Street and on Vakhtang Gorgasali Street up to its intersection with Grishashvili Street, as well as on Grishashvili Street up to the Abano I dead end.
Until October 5, traffic is also temporarily restricted on Kosta Khetagurov Street — from the Vissol petrol station to the intersection of Khetagurov and Guram Sagharadze streets.
During the restriction period, cars and public transport will move along alternative routes.
