A delegation led by Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov, on a visit to China, reviewed the operations of Ningxia Natural Star Technology and Ningxia Wozhiyuan Technology in Yinchuan, capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

At Ningxia Natural Star Technology, the delegation was briefed on organic vegetable production, modern greenhouse technologies and an export-oriented agribusiness model. It was noted that since 2017, organic vegetable production has been designated a priority area in the Ningxia region. Greenhouses equipped with insect-proof nets, along with open fields and the use of solar energy, enable year-round production.

The products are stored at a temperature of 1–5 degrees Celsius using a dedicated cold chain system and are delivered to Hong Kong within 48 hours of harvest. The vegetables are sold at more than 200 retail outlets. The company's production model, based on market demand, covers the stages of cultivation, processing, branding and marketing. The facility provides more than 150 people with seasonal work each year, creating conditions for rural residents to earn income from land leasing and farming activities.

The delegation also reviewed the solar-powered smart greenhouse complex of Ningxia Wozhiyuan Technology. The company applies innovative solutions for water-saving irrigation systems, the restoration of saline soils and the recovery of resources from waste. These technologies also include grape cultivation under solar panels, subsurface irrigation and wastewater treatment. The company's technologies are already used in 13 countries.

It was noted that in smart greenhouses, the use of solar energy and the management of heating insulation, irrigation and fertilization processes through a single system increase resource efficiency. According to figures presented by the company, compared with traditional greenhouses, these technologies improve the efficiency of land and water use by more than 35–40 percent and reduce operating costs by approximately 60 percent.

As part of the visit, best practices were studied in the fields of organic production, modern greenhouse technologies, export opportunities and the efficient use of resources.
