Baku is today, 6 October 2026, hosting the "German-Azerbaijani Conference on Strategic Partnership and Connectivity 2026." The event is being held under the theme "Financing Opportunities for Infrastructure, Green Energy and Digital Connectivity along the Middle Corridor." Photographs from the event have been published.
The conference aims to deepen bilateral and regional economic cooperation, as well as to attract German and European finance, technology and expertise to support sustainable development in Azerbaijan and the wider region.
The forum brings together government representatives, financial institutions, project owners and business leaders from Germany, Azerbaijan and partner countries.
Investment and the Middle Corridor
The event will discuss investment opportunities, as well as consider the financing of strategic projects in the fields of infrastructure, energy transition and digital connectivity along the Middle Corridor.
Attendance is expected from Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, as well as German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dirk Lölken and official representatives of other bodies.
