Speaker of Belarus’s House of Representatives visits Khankendi
Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko visited Khankendi as part of a working trip. The delegation learned about the progress of restoration work and visited Victory Park and Karabakh University.

On October 14, 2026, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko visited the city of Khankendi as part of a working trip.
The guests were met by the deputy special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, Khojaly and Aghdere, Sebuhi Gahramanov. According to the public relations department of the Service for Restoration, Construction and Management in the city of Khankendi, Aghdere and Khojaly district, he told the delegation in detail about the history of the city and the restoration and construction work being carried out there.
It is noted that under the "Great Return" programme, the return of former internally displaced persons to Khankendi and the village of Karkijahan is being ensured.
In addition, a set of measures is being implemented in these areas to restore residential infrastructure, develop the city and provide comfortable living conditions for residents.
The delegation led by Igor Sergeyenko also visited Victory Park in Khankendi. Afterwards, members of the delegation visited Karabakh University, where they were told about the university's activities, its educational opportunities and its work to develop educational infrastructure in the liberated territories.
