On 19 October 2026, a crane fell and crashed into an 11-storey building in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul. The incident occurred at a construction site in the Erenköy neighbourhood, on Tütüncü Mehmet Efendi Street.
The crane was standing on the pavement during construction work. The cause of the incident has not yet been established.
No one was injured as a result of the incident. Traffic on the street was halted.
