An event dedicated to the development prospects of pomegranate growing and new challenges was organized at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Goychay region.

An event titled "Development Prospects of Pomegranate Growing and New Challenges" was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Goychay region. The event was organized jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Azerbaijan Pomegranate Producers and Exporters Association, and the Goychay District Executive Authority.
The meeting was attended by Leyli Aghayeva, Head of the Department for Work with Farmers, Associations, and Cooperatives of the Ministry of Agriculture; Farhad Garashov, Chairman of the Pomegranate Producers and Exporters Association; and farmers engaged in pomegranate production.
During the speeches, discussions were held on the development of the pomegranate sector, state support measures intended for farmers and entrepreneurs, and the application of innovative and resource-saving technologies. At the same time, the activities of the association, which acts as a bridge between state institutions and farmers in solving existing challenges in the agrarian sector, were touched upon.
During the event, issues arising from the "State Program for the Development of Production and Processing Sectors of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030" were brought to the attention of the farmers. Information was provided on measures in the direction of increasing the efficiency of agrarian production, expanding the application of modern technologies, using resources more effectively, and ensuring sustainable development within the framework of the program.
Furthermore, farmers were provided with detailed information regarding the new decisions of the Agrarian Subsidy Council on state support mechanisms for the year 2026. Issues of interest to entrepreneurs were discussed, proposals were heard, and questions were answered during the meeting.
Finally, special badges of the Association were presented to Ministry employees and farmers who stood out for their contributions to the development of pomegranate growing.
