Kamaladdin Heydarov meets with Kyrgyzstan’s ambassador to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's Minister for Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan Maksat Mamytkhanov on September 22, 2026.

The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted the friendly relations between the two countries, based on common roots and the historical and cultural closeness of the peoples. Kamaladdin Heydarov emphasized that bilateral relations are successfully developing at the level of strategic partnership thanks to the political foresight of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

The minister recalled the humanitarian aid that Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered to Kyrgyzstan following a powerful earthquake in Osh Region in 2015 at the president's instruction. Last year, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic received gratuitous material and technical assistance, which became another manifestation of fraternal solidarity and contributed to the development of interagency relations.

Kamaladdin Heydarov underscored the importance of further developing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations in the areas of emergency prevention and response, civil defense, specialist training, and professional exchange of experience. The minister expressed confidence that the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Baku will continue efforts in this direction.

Ambassador Maksat Mamytkhanov expressed satisfaction with the steady development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. The diplomat noted the mutual benefit of expanding ties between the relevant agencies of the two countries in the sphere of emergency prevention and response, and stated that he will spare no effort in this direction.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of mutual interest.
