Indonesia introduces free visa-free regime for Kazakhstani citizens from July 2026
Starting July 2026, citizens of Kazakhstan will be able to visit Indonesia without a visa for up to 30 days. The decision was made based on the principle of reciprocity.

Starting July 2026, citizens of Kazakhstan will have the right to enter Indonesia without a visa and stay in the country for up to 30 days. This was announced at a briefing by Zhanbolat Usenov, official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the foreign ministry, visa-free entry is provided free of charge and is intended for a single entry. For a repeated visit, citizens will need to comply with current entry procedures and rules.
“This decision was made taking into account the principle of reciprocity. Kazakhstan previously granted Indonesian citizens the right to visa-free entry and stay in the country for up to 30 days,” stated Zhanbolat Usenov.
Thus, a full mutual visa-free regime for national passport holders with a stay of up to 30 days comes into effect between the two states.
When planning trips, Kazakhs should also consider other rules enforced by the Indonesian side. Starting October 1, 2025, all international passengers arriving in Indonesia are required to fill out a unified All Indonesia electronic declaration. The procedure is free of charge and can be completed in advance before arrival.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RK also recommends checking current entry document requirements on the official information resources of the Indonesian authorities before traveling.
