The youth division of Jerusalem Orchestra East & West is scheduled to perform at the United Nations. The orchestra brings together young musicians from different cultural and religious communities.
The performance programme includes compositions designed to unite diverse musical traditions. The musicians will perform "Yam Shel Dma'ot" ("Sea of Tears") by Zohar Argov, "Hayi Hayi" by Abdel Wahab, and "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen.
The concert at UN headquarters will serve as a platform to demonstrate the possibilities of cultural dialogue through music.
