Azerbaijani Cinema Day was held in Paris. Audiences were shown three animated films and a documentary about 19th-century artist Mirza Gadim Iravansky.
On September 22, 2026, the event "Azerbaijani Cinema Day in Paris" took place at the cultural center of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France. It was organized by the Azerbaijan Film Agency and the republic's diplomatic mission.
Rashad Azizov, General Director of the Azerbaijan Film Agency, noted the growing number of studios working in the country's film and animation industries, as well as the increase in projects in these fields.
He emphasized the importance of closer cooperation with other countries in implementing such projects.
International cooperation in cinema can contribute not only to film production but also to the development of cultural dialogue between peoples. Such cooperation can become an important tool of cultural diplomacy.
Azizov expressed hope that screenings of Azerbaijani films in France will become more frequent in the future.
Screening program
As part of the event, audiences were shown three animated films—"Under One Rain," "Boom-Boom," and "Isi and Piti"—as well as the documentary film "Dream of Paradise."
The documentary is dedicated to the life and work of Mirza Gadim Iravansky, one of Azerbaijan's outstanding 19th-century artists. The film recounts important episodes from the painter's life and presents viewers with a significant chapter of Azerbaijan's cultural heritage.
