Fifth International Theatre Festival to be held in Sheki

F4Media.az reports that the Fifth International Theatre Festival will be held in Sheki from October 1 to 5.

Theatre collectives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Iran will participate in the festival. During the five-day event, performances reflecting the stage art and creative traditions of various countries will be presented.

The Sheki International Theatre Festival, held since 2014, is recognised as one of the first traditional international drama theatre festivals in Azerbaijan's theatre history. In previous years, theatres from Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Iran, Ukraine, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries have participated in the festival.

The main goal of the festival is to expand creative relations between Azerbaijani and world theatres, strengthen the exchange of experience and create new collaborations.

The Fifth Sheki International Theatre Festival will be held jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sheki City Executive Authority, Azerbaijan Theatre Workers Union and Sheki State Drama Theatre.
