Russia and the United States are discussing a number of potentially mutually beneficial projects in the economic sphere. This was stated to journalists on October 8, 2026, by Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

Indeed, a whole range of potential projects for cooperation in the economic sphere is being discussed, which would potentially be mutually beneficial.

Peskov did not disclose any other details on these projects.

Settlement in Ukraine

Peskov also commented on the prospects for resolving the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the task of diplomats is to find an opportunity to move toward a peace process.

The art of diplomats is precisely to find some loophole that will allow a move onto a peaceful track.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is interested in the earliest possible cessation of hostilities through a peaceful settlement. According to him, Russia is ready for talks, but does not see corresponding readiness on the part of Kyiv.
