Russian tourist dies in paragliding crash in Fethiye
In Fethiye, 37-year-old Russian tourist Aleksandr Kishenets died in a paragliding accident: he fell onto rocks shortly after taking off from Babadağ. An investigation has been launched.

In the Turkish city of Fethiye (Muğla Province), a tourist from Russia, Aleksandr Kishenets, 37, died as a result of a paragliding accident. This is reported with reference to data on the incident.
According to available information, the incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. in the Ölüdeniz area. Kishenets, who had come to the area for training, went up to the launch site on Mount Babadağ at an altitude of 1900 meters to make a paragliding flight.
The athlete performed a solo jump, but shortly after takeoff, for a reason not yet established, he fell onto the rocks.
After reports from witnesses, the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue Service (JAK) and the National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE) were sent to the scene.
During the inspection, rescuers established that Kishenets died at the scene. His body was taken to the morgue. An investigation has been launched into the accident.
