First final session at the Swimming World Cup: a record was set
The first final session of the Swimming World Cup, organized by the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has concluded at the Water Sports Palace.

YEGOR KORNEV EQUALED THE WORLD RECORD!
Russian swimmer Yegor Kornev, with a time of 44.84 seconds in the men’s 100-meter freestyle at the World Cup in Baku, equaled the world record!
With this result, Kornev shares the world record of 44.84 seconds set by Australian Kyle Chalmers.
This is not only one of the outstanding results of Kornev’s career, but also became one of the most notable moments of the Baku World Cup.
After the race, Kornev stated in an interview with F4Media.az that this is the beginning of new and great successes for him:
“This is the beginning of some path. Perhaps it is the beginning of a very great and successful path in the future. I strive very hard for this.”
