The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has published a report titled 'Destruction of Palestinian Refugee Camps in the Northern West Bank.' The document asserts that in 2025, Israeli security forces conducted a large-scale operation called 'Iron Wall,' which resulted in the forced eviction of all Palestinian residents from three refugee camps.
According to the report, the operation affected the Jenin, Nur Shams, and Tulkarm camps. The authors of the report state that Israeli military, police, and other involved units systematically went house-to-house, forcing the civilian population to leave immediately.
During the operation, a significant portion of civilian infrastructure was destroyed, including hundreds of residential buildings and road surfaces. Furthermore, electricity and water supply lines in the camps were severed, and access for humanitarian aid was completely blocked.
The document also mentions instances of civilian deaths. As of now, according to UN data, Israeli authorities continue to prevent displaced persons from returning to their places of residence.
