Russia sets record agricultural exports to Uzbekistan
Between January and August 2026, Russia shipped 930,000 tonnes of agricultural products worth $916 million to Uzbekistan — a record for the period.

In January–August 2026, Russia increased agricultural exports to Uzbekistan by nearly 1.5 times year-on-year in volume and by more than a third in value. Shipments reached 930,000 tonnes worth $916 million, a record for the period. The Federal Center Agroexport reported the figures.
According to expert estimates, exports for the period rose 46% in volume and 36% in value compared with the same period last year.
"Based on the results of the first eight months of 2026, Russia demonstrated a record volume of shipments for this period in both physical and monetary terms."
What is being supplied
Russia supplies Uzbekistan mainly with sugar — 293,000 tonnes over the period. It is followed by soybeans and meal (211,000 tonnes), wheat (more than 71,000 tonnes), non-alcoholic beverages (more than 41,000 tonnes) and sunflower oil (more than 31,500 tonnes).
According to Agroexport, the main drivers of export growth were sugar, soybeans and meal, and other types of agricultural products.
