First events held in Baku as part of European Aquatics Congress
According to the European Aquatics Federation, a meeting of the European Aquatics Bureau was held first. Later, a session on experience and knowledge exchange was organized with the participation of representatives of national federations. During the session, views were exchanged on the development of swimming and other aquatic sports, the activities of federations, the implementation of various projects, innovations and future cooperation opportunities.

During the session, views were exchanged on the development of swimming and other aquatic sports, the activities of federations, the implementation of various projects, innovations and future cooperation opportunities.
The statement noted that participants, along with sharing new ideas, had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with successful approaches applied by various countries in the field of aquatic sports.
It should be noted that Baku, which is the “World Sports Capital” for 2026, is hosting important international events in the field of aquatic sports this year.
Following the Swimming World Cup, the holding of the European Aquatics Congress in Baku is also a significant event in terms of further strengthening Azerbaijan’s position at the international sports level.
