The opening ceremony of the “VII Development and Exchange Programme for NGOs” was held in Lankaran, organised by the NGO Agency.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Elnur Bagirli, deputy chairman of the Executive Board of the NGO Agency, said that close to 100 representatives of non-governmental organisations are taking part in the programme.

Within the programme, participants’ work includes preparing projects, defining aims and objectives, planning implementation stages, collecting and analysing data, decision-making, defining target groups, and improving knowledge and skills in social media, office work and accounting.

Trainers Anar Valiyev and Orxan Nadirov greeted participants and provided information about the course of the training. At the end of the programme, certificates will be presented to NGO representatives who successfully complete the training.

It should be noted that the NGO Agency has so far implemented six “Development and Exchange Programmes” across the country. The first was organised in Mingachevir in 2022. In 2023, activities took place in Naftalan and Baku, in 2024 in Nakhchivan and Shamakhi, and in 2025 in Shusha.

Overall, more than 600 NGO representatives have taken part in previous programmes. The next programme, held in Lankaran, also serves to develop the knowledge and skills of civil society institutions and to strengthen the institutional potential of NGOs.
