A meeting dedicated to the tasks arising from President Ilham Aliyev's speech at the VIII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Samukh.
Participants in the meeting included Firdovsi Aliyev, head of the Samukh District Executive Authority; Gunduz Bayramov, chairman of the Samukh district organisation of the New Azerbaijan Party; leaders of law enforcement bodies; senior officials of the Rural Development Ministry (RIH) apparatus; representatives of the district; heads of city administrations; families of martyrs; veterans; leaders of administrations, institutions and organisations; and representatives of the district's public.
At the start of the event, participants laid flowers at the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Heydar Park in Samukh city, paying tribute and respect to the great leader.
The participants of the meeting honoured with a minute of silence the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the meeting, Firdovsi Aliyev, head of the Samukh District Executive Authority, discussed the tasks arising from President Ilham Aliyev's programmatic speech at the VIII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party, the priority issues facing the country, and the main directions of state policy.
It was noted that the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty marks the beginning of a new stage in the country's history. The main tasks at this stage are preserving the achievements already made, further strengthening state independence, continuing the socio-economic development of the country and firmly defending national interests.
It was emphasised that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the purposeful policy being implemented has strengthened Azerbaijan's positions in the international arena, increased its economic and military power, and created new realities in the region. Continuing these achievements places important responsibility on every civil servant, party member and citizen.
Speaking at the meeting, Bayram Gasimov, chairman of the Samukh District Council of Elders, spoke about the significance of President Ilham Aliyev's programmatic speech at the VIII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party, the historic achievements of the country and the important tasks ahead. Stressing that the state-building traditions established by National Leader Heydar Aliyev are being continued today under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership, he noted the importance of every citizen fulfilling their responsibilities in the interests of the country's development, the preservation of national unity and the further strengthening of statehood.
Other speakers at the meeting spoke about the important role of the New Azerbaijan Party in the state-building history of the country, the political, economic and military achievements made under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and the importance of implementing the tasks ahead and the instructions given in a timely and quality manner.
Participants at the event emphasised the primary responsibility of every citizen and party member to contribute to the development of the country, the strengthening of statehood and the preservation of national unity.
At the end of the meeting, it was stressed that the tasks ahead should be carried out with a high sense of responsibility in line with the strategic goals set by President Ilham Aliyev, that state policy should be consistently implemented locally, and that socio-economic development of the district should be ensured.
