The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed condolences over the armed attack on a church in the Jordanian city of Kerak. The ministry made the statement on its verified account on X. The information was distributed with a reference to the APA.az agency.
The statement says that Azerbaijan strongly condemns, together with the government and people of Jordan, the violence. Baku condemned the violence against places of worship and the attack on civilians.
The Foreign Ministry expressed solidarity with Jordan, conveyed condolences to the families of the deceased, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
