Greenhouses in Azerbaijan to receive up to 5,000 manats in subsidies

A new subsidy mechanism will be introduced in Azerbaijan to encourage the modernization of greenhouse farms and the creation of high-tech greenhouses.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture to FMedia.az, the Agrarian Subsidy Council has decided to allocate planting subsidies ranging from 500 to 5,000 manats per hectare, depending on the technological level and covering material of the greenhouses.
The highest subsidy is designated for fourth-generation, glass-covered high-tech greenhouses. These facilities will receive a subsidy of 5,000 manats per hectare.
The subsidy for polycarbonate-covered greenhouses will be 3,000 manats per hectare, while fourth-generation greenhouses with high-quality polyethylene covers will receive 2,500 manats per hectare.
For third-generation greenhouses, the subsidy amounts are set at 2,000, 1,500, and 1,000 manats per hectare respectively, whereas other polyethylene-covered greenhouses will receive 500 manats per hectare.
The new mechanism is expected to stimulate the technological advancement of greenhouse farms, boost productivity, and expand modern production capabilities.
