Azerbaijan Extends Payroll Tax Relief to Families of Fallen Deminers
Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has amended the list of documents required for individuals to claim payroll tax relief. The list now covers the families of seven fallen sappers.

Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has amended the "List of Documents for Determining the Right of Individuals to Tax Relief When Calculating the Tax Withheld from Wages." The corresponding decision was published on October 2, 2026.
Under the decision, the list includes parents, widows (widowers) and children of sappers killed as a result of an accident while explosive ordnance was detonated during demining, as well as those who died from injuries sustained at that time.
Which documents are required
- A certificate from the Azerbaijan Republic Agency for Mine Action.
- A certificate from the local body of the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Azerbaijan Republic or from a "DOST" centre.
- Certificates from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Border Service of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Accordingly, to apply the payroll tax relief, the individuals concerned must submit the listed package of documents.
