Azerbaijani wrestlers win eight medals at the U-17 Beach Wrestling World Championships in Baku
The U-17 Beach Wrestling World Championships have concluded in Baku. Azerbaijani athletes added two gold, three silver, and three bronze medals to the national team's tally.

The results of the U-17 Beach Wrestling World Championships have been finalized in Baku. Representatives of Azerbaijan concluded their performance at the home tournament by winning a total of eight medals.
In the boys' competition, Eljan Hasanov (60 kg) and Nihat Suleymanli (80 kg) brought gold medals to the national team. Alirza Heybatli (60 kg) and Elgun Karimli (90 kg) became silver medalists, while bronze medals went to Tunar Guliyev (70 kg) and Ruslan Veliyev (80 kg).
In the women's portion of the tournament, Rena Nuriyeva (65 kg) climbed to the second step of the podium, winning silver. Simura Abdullayeva (75 kg) became the owner of a bronze medal.
Based on the team standings among girls, the Azerbaijani national team took first place. Second place went to the USA team, and third to Japan. In the men's team standings, Iran took the victory, Azerbaijani wrestlers placed second, and the Senegal team rounded out the top three.
