Call for sensitivity toward historical monuments in Shusha and liberated territories
Writing on historical stones and walls in Shusha and other liberated areas is considered an act contrary to the chronicle of heroism.
Azerbaijan's historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War was achieved at the cost of the blood of more than 3,000 martyrs. The news of the liberation of Shusha was met with great enthusiasm and pride by the Azerbaijani public, and this triumph has been etched into the glorious history of Azerbaijan as a result of national unity.
Currently, the behavior of some individuals visiting the liberated territories is causing concern. In particular, the writing of various inscriptions on historical stones and walls, including the names of martyrs, is being criticized. It is stated that such actions cast a shadow over the nation's chronicle of heroism and damage historical monuments.
It is noted that each of the martyrs is a source of national pride, and it is the duty of every citizen to treat their memory with respect. Historical stones and rocks must be protected as living witnesses of the war and treated with sensitivity.
In a statement emphasizing that veterans are "living history," it is recalled that the victory is a legacy to be passed down from generation to generation. Large-scale construction work is currently underway in these lands, where the blood of the martyrs was not shed in vain, and the territories are flourishing once again.
