Armed Attack on Man in Azerbaijan’s Tartar District
A 52-year-old local resident suffered gunshot wounds to both legs in Azerbaijan's Tartar District. Law enforcement officers have detained a suspect.

An incident involving firearms occurred in the settlement of Shikharkh in the Tartar District, injuring local resident Mazahir Yusifov, born in 1974. The man suffered gunshot wounds to both legs.
The victim was taken to the Tartar District Central Hospital. According to TƏBİB, the patient was admitted to the emergency medical department at around 00:20 on September 7, 2026. He was diagnosed with multiple open wounds to the lower leg and an open wound to the knee joint. He received the necessary medical services, treatment continues in a specialized department, and his condition is assessed as moderate.
As a result of measures taken by law enforcement officers, a suspect in the crime was detained — 21-year-old Husan Mirzazade. He has been handed over to investigative authorities.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
