The final races of the three-day Swimming World Cup in Baku are being held today at the Baku Aquatic Palace.
On the final day of the competition, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan, Marian de Jong, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, Amy Karlon, came to the Baku Aquatic Palace and watched the decisive races of the world-class tournament on site.
The diplomatic representatives watched the races from the stands and observed live the performances of strong swimmers who came to Baku from various countries.
It should be noted that the Baku stage of the Swimming World Cup of the World Aquatics Association (World Aquatics) is being held at the Baku Aquatic Palace on October 1–3.
Over three days, well-known swimmers from various countries of the world competed in individual distances, and Baku has become one of the important stops on the international swimming calendar.
The fact that ambassadors also watched the races on the final day of the tournament was noteworthy as an indication of the attention shown by diplomatic missions to an international sports event held in Azerbaijan.
The high-level organisation of the races, the performances of the athletes and the conditions created at the Baku Aquatic Palace were among the main highlights of the final day.
