The Baku leg of the "Silk Road Tour" Swimming World Cup has concluded in Baku.

The Baku leg of the "Silk Road Tour" Swimming World Cup has concluded in Baku.
Before the final session of the tournament, held at the Water Sports Palace under the organisation of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, a musical programme was presented featuring Eurovision winner Nigar Jamal.
In the final, Azerbaijani representative Anastasiya Qnusina set a national record in the 200 metres backstroke with a time of 2:20.68.
In the day's other finals, Carson Foster won the men's 400 metres individual medley, Yegor Kornev the 50 metres breaststroke, Peter Cootes the 100 metres backstroke, Luke Barr the 200 metres breaststroke, and Shane Casas the 200 metres freestyle.
In the women's events, Ros Vanotterdijk won the 100 metres breaststroke, Anna Peplowski the 200 metres backstroke, Florine Gaspard the 50 metres breaststroke, Marrit Steenbergen the 100 metres freestyle, and Yiting Yu the 200 metres individual medley.
In the points standings, Yegor Kornev finished first among the men and Marrit Steenbergen among the women, taking the titles at the Baku leg. They were awarded gold medals.
It should be noted that after the Baku leg, the next stop of the World Cup will be Tashkent. The next leg of the "Silk Road Tour" World Cup will be held in the Uzbek capital on 8-10 October.
