Romania's interim chargé d'affaires Liliana Burda has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, according to an official statement by the diplomatic department.
It is specified that the meeting will take place on Thursday, August 27. The reasons for summoning the diplomat have not been disclosed at this time.
“Romania's chargé d'affaires ad interim has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry for tomorrow,” the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, Romania's acting Minister of National Defence Radu Miruță declared the presence of Ukrainian drones in the country's airspace unacceptable. According to him, over the past three days, the ministry recorded 18 reports of drones and logged the crash of an unidentified drone in Vrancea County that flew in from Moldova.
