The Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, held a meeting with the President of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Khalilur Rahman, in New York. Khalilur Rahman announced this on his social media account on X.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the Azerbaijani Parliament and UN structures, and also considered other topics of mutual interest.
«I am glad to have met with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova… During the meeting, we discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the UN General Assembly and the Milli Majlis, as well as the parliaments of the world's countries. In addition, an exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues of mutual interest,» noted Khalilur Rahman.
